2022 Trustee Lynne Robb


Lynne began her career as an Chartered Accountant when she trained with Arthur Andersen and Co. She moved into the corporate world, working for many years with Tate & Lyle plc, where she had several financial leadership roles. She also worked on major integrations and mergers, which led her to join Cancer Research UK at its formation in 2002. She was Chief Financial Officer for 11 years, leading the technology, property, risk, finance and Treasury teams. Her interest in leading change meant she was involved in many developments there, including the Francis Crick Institute. Recently, she also worked with the YMCA, in a strategic support role to the CEO and Board.

Lynne has a number of non-executive Positions: Trustee of the Tate & Lyle Pension Scheme; Director of the Medicines Discovery Catapult and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee; and Trustee of LifeArc and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Lynne became a Trustee in January 2018 and was Treasurer of Prostate Cancer UK and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee until October 2023. She was appointed Vice Chair of Prostate Cancer UK in January 2022.
